Jon Moxley v CM Punk result and thoughts

Interim AEW Champion Jon Moxley defeated AEW Champion CM Punk within a matter of minutes on tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite to become the NEW Undisputed AEW Champion.
This came off very strange to the majority of wrestling fans, who were downright confused about the result of what was garnered as the biggest match-up in AEW history. Originally, the match was supposed to be the main event of AEW's upcoming All Out pay-per-view - but with Punk's leg still not recovered fully, AEW decided to promote the match for tonight' episode of Dynamite instead.
The belief.. well, my belief is that this match was done this way to just simply get the title off of Punk so he can fully recover and have a comeback later on down the line. Mox is easily AEW's biggest (original) star and is seen as their "Stone Cold" level figure. I get the reason they did it... but this came off VERY Vince McMahon-esque booking, right down the the very core.
I guess Punk wanted to at least have some type of match-up to drop the title and not just hand it away because of injury. Just have the top guy in the company, well true top guy actually pin him and take the title from him. In that case, I suppose it's alright. But man, that lose for Punk is still pretty brutal and makes him come off as one of the biggest "paper champions" in the history of the industry.
The match wasn't great and the result was as "Vince as it gets" by all stretches of the imagination. Woof.
The booking for All Out so far is by far the weakest in the company's short length history. I'm sure the event will still do okay in the buy rates and attendance, but... yikes. Well, we'll see what happens on September 4th in Chicago.
