Shawn Michaels gets promotion, 'Worlds Collide' set for September

WWE made a few more announcements earlier today, one being that WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has been promoted to WWE's Vice President of Talent Development and will continue to oversee showrunning of all NXT events going forward, much like he's already been doing since Triple H left his duties from the brand.

Another announcement was made that the 'Worlds Collide' event will return on September 4th as a Premium Live Event on Peacock and WWE Network internationally. Worlds Collide is an event where the talent of NXT UK and NXT brands merge for a HUGE crossover.

World Collide (2022) will air from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The expected main event is Tyler Bate (United Kingdom Champion) v Bron Breakker (NXT Champion).

The 2022 Worlds Collide event is expected to be the final event involving the NXT UK brand before it disbands and is revamped as NXT Europe in 2023.
